1969 Alfa Romeo 1750
Date: 2022-07-31
Price: $0
Location: Brummen, Netherlands
1963 saw the start of the production of probably one of the most entertaining Italian coupes built by Alfa Romeo, the 105/115 series. Our car comes out of Sweden. The GTV was sold to its first owner in 1969 and to its second in 1971, who kept hold of it until 2016 when the third and last owner brought the car over to the Netherlands and had it registered in 2017. The second owner parked the car up in a garage in 1978 and did not use it until the last owner took possession in 2016. Soon after arrival in the Netherlands the original engine was replaced by a fully overhauled and prepped new engine. This engine develops a specialist tuned 132 Ps. The car’s condition was unexpectedly good on arrival with only the door sills and paintwork needing attention. It is no surprise this car drives and handles a treat. The paintwork quality is of the used category without any corrosion. The sports exhaust sounds great and everything is in good working order. The large ‘Wolfrace’ rims add to the car’s sporty credentials. Besides the many invoices the car still has its owner’s manual and, original guarantee booklet and big Alfa Romeo spare parts book. This lovely coupé is looking for a new owner who wants a proper drivers. Are you that person?   Price in euro: € 39.950,-

1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal
Date: 2022-07-31
Price: $78,000
Location: Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
- First registration in Switzerland - Sunroof and air conditioning - Carefully revised and maintained - German, historical registration Vehicle history: This Alfa Romeo Montreal was sold to Switzerland in 1972. In 2007 it was sold to the Netherlands. A Hamburg car enthusiast bought the car in 2014 and had large parts of the technology, including the entire chassis, overhauled for around € 14,000. A year later, the Montreal came to Munich. Other investments were made: radiator hoses, new clutches, new tires, electrical work, new ANSA silencers, engine and gearbox suspensions etc. As a design study by Marcello Gandini (chief designer at Bertone), the car was presented for the first time in 1967 at the world exhibition Expo 67 in Montréal. The name of the vehicle also resulted from the exhibition location. The headlights, which are partially covered by lamellar bezels, are striking. The covers fold down when the lighting is switched on. The eight-cylinder engine with four overhead camshafts and mechanical Spica intake manifold injection, used for the first time by Alfa Romeo in a production vehicle, was derived from the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 used in racing, but was modified for everyday practicality and increased to 2.6 liters displacement. The rare equipment options such as the air conditioning and the electric sunroof make this Montreal particularly interesting. 1990 Alfa Romeo SZ
Date: 2022-07-31
Price: $81,000
Location: Temse, Belgium
First conceived as the ES30 design study in 1987, the Sprint Zagato (styled by Alfa Romeo Design and Robert Opron, but built at Zagato) caused quite a sensation. Dubbed 'il Mostro' or 'the Monster', this was no conventionally good-looking Alfa Romeo coupe. But such was the overwhelmingly positive reaction to it, that in 1989, Alfa launched a production version at the Geneva Motor Show. Sensibly, it was based on a heavily modified 75 V6 platform, so the SZ had the performance (and sound) to back up its sporty yet unconventional looks. Its ability to hang on in bends really made the SZ special – it was said to be able to generate 1.1g of lateral load. Like the cars that sired it, the SZ had near-50:50 weight balance. Total production of the SZ reached 1036 units, which makes it quite a rare car. This well kept example was delivered new in Belgium in 1990 and is a one-owner car. It carries SZ serial number 901, and comes with the full documentation package, still packed in a nicely stitched leather folder. Also the factory delivered car cover is still present, as well as the spare wheel cover in leather. The car is in completely original condition and never repainted. The paint shows some signs of age and has some micro-blastering all over, but that's the proof that it's still in its first factory paint. It is now up the future owner to decide if he prefers it to keep it this way or not. Inside, all leather and carpets are still in good condition. The SZ has only covered 48.260 km from new, and has always been well maintained and cherished. Last year, 4 new Vredestein Ultrac Satin "by Giugiaro" tyres were fitted, and the original and rare OZ wheels are in still in great shape. Technically, it is of course in the same very good working order. The car is just back from a big service by Ferrari specialist Reekmans TS, including the important cambelt change. The SZ is one of the most collectable Alfa Romeo's, due to its rarity, extreme looks and Zagato pedigree. It is a low-volume handbuilt sportscar, which has increased a lot in value over the last years and will probably continue to rise. If you fancy such a rare and uncompromisingly styled Alfa Romeo, then a visit to our showroom is the next thing to do. The price in USD is only an indication, and depending of the EUR/USD currency rate.

1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta
Date: 2022-07-31
Price: $95,000
Location: Philadelphia, PA, United States
- Chassis # 1495.05660 - Engine # 1315.32093 - An Original U.S. Delivered Car, Sold Through The Famous Hoffman Motor Car Co. - Featuring Well Done And Tasteful "Driver Centered" Modifications - Ready For Spirited Enjoyment On Rallies And Tours - Sale Includes Original Books, Available Service Receipts, Alfa Romeo’s first post-war production car, the Giulietta Sprint 2+2 Coupe with coachwork by Bertone, debuted to the public at the Turin Motor Show in 1954. Demand for the then-handbuilt car quickly outstripped supply leaving Alfa Romeo to rethink their production strategy with a look towards becoming a high-volume manufacturer. In 1956, Alfa accepted Pinninfarina’s design over that of Bertone’s for their latest Giulietta Spider. Built on a modified coupe chassis, the Spider was built at the insistence of famed New York importer, Max Hoffman, who had seen how well open-top British and German cars were received stateside.  The first Giulietta Spider carried a revy 1.3L, all-alloy, twin-cam 4-cylinder engine. The drivetrain sat within a steel unibody chassis that weighed less than 1900lbs. As was the case with pre-war Alfas, dealers soon saw a demand for an uprated, more powerful version for customers with competition in mind. Giulietta Sprint and Spider Veloces arrived, complete with high-performance engines which raised the power by 15%, and modified bodywork. Just 1,203 Giulietta Spider Veloces were produced and today remain among the most desirable and collectible of the post-war Alfas.  We are very pleased to offer this restored example of the desirable Giulietta Spider Veloce 750F. Chassis 5660, was completed at the Milanese plant on January 3, 1959, finished in white and delivered to the US where it was sold through Hoffman Motor Car Co. of New York days later on January 20. It appears in the 1990s in the hands of Mr. Ralph Day. Day, owner of BMW of Concord in Concord, CA, embarked on a 3-phase restoration beginning with an interior refreshing by marque specialist Myron Ash of Ashcroft Restorations in Phoenix, Arizona, and exterior repaint by BMW of Concord in its present and current shade of BMW 308 Red. The restoration of the driveline, by Conrad Stevenson of Berkeley, CA, is most notable. Stevenson adapted the Veloce’s exhaust manifold, carburetors, air box and filter, headers, and oil sump, to a 1,750cc block, then mated the engine to an uprated 5-Speed manual transmission. The charging system was converted to an alternator while a larger front sway bar was added along with other suspension changes. Just before the turning of the new millennium, chassis 5660 appears as a participant on the storied California Mille and continues to wear its Nardi steering wheel, issued to tour participants, today.  In 2004 with 86,000 miles recorded, the Spider found its newest and current owner, a Philadelphia, PA-based European car collector. The car has been cared for and looked after since thanks to consistent service records on file, and now shows a scant 87,500 on the odometer.  An instantly recognizable styling form, and remaining one of the most popular Italian sports cars still, the Giulietta Spider is widely regarded as an ideal Alfa for tours and rallies. The uprated Spider Veloce with its nimble handling and revy twin-cam motor, together with the Pinin Farina styling, truly complete the package of classic motoring. This luscious red Spider certainly affords turn-key access to the country’s best and most exciting tours, rallies, and Concours events.  Please visit www.LBILimited.com for many more photos and details.
